Kikuletwa Hotsprings gets its name from the water that bubbles in underground caves. Surrounded by fig trees, this area is a hidden gem in the midst of a semi-arid landscape.Here you may find a diversity of colorful birds amongst an abundance of plant life and neighboring indigenous tribes. There is also an option to camp overnight and hike.Visiting hot spring and Masai Land, Enjoy a very unique route of arid desert area, see lush trees, relaxing foot massage, spotting baboons hanging in the tree-tops above you.
Trip Itinerary
Two hours from Moshi Town, in Chemka, you will find the hot springs, or maji moto in Swahili – a natural pool of warm, clear water that comes from underground. The water is perhaps amongst the clearest in the world, and you can see the bottom at all times.
If you would you like, you can relax as fish exfoliate your feet. And if you're lucky, you may be able to spot baboons hanging in the treetops above you.
Itinerary of the Chemka Hot Springs Tour: - 8:00 AM - We’ll pick you up from your Moshi hotel and drive to the Chemka Hot Springs. - approx. 9:30 AM - Arrival to the hot springs, free time, swimming and relaxing. - 12:00 - Lunch and free time. - 2:00 PM - Return back to Moshi and drop-off at your hotel.
